Hand Knitted by Ruth, in Ruth's own design, inspired by the musk ox as they build a circle when threatened to fend off predators. This headband is sold ox-clusively at the Musk Ox Farm in Palmer, AK.
These headbands are hand knitted on a 20" circular needle. They each have an elastic around the base sides, to help keep shape.
- The musk ox bodies are made with 100% qiviut.
- The musk ox head, horns & hooves in this headbands are made with merino in these headbands.
- Headband HB164 base is made with merino wool.

A note from Ruth:
"I started knitting and crafting at the age of seven in my home country of Switzerland. In 1988, after backpacking around the world, I was fascinated by the sled dogs and settled in Alaska. My passion with qiviut began in 2004 and to this day it is my favorite fiber to craft with. My hobbies are canine sports, camping, and exploring Alaska's back country with my spouse, dogs, and horses."
