Qiviut Care Instructions

Washing: Qiviut will not shrink in any water temperature, take care for blended garments. Hand wash your qiviut in warm water with a small amount of mild detergent or shampoo. Wash blended garments in lukewarm or cool water. Soak your garment without agitating and gently rinse. Lay your garment flat on a towel and roll up to remove excess water. Lay flat to dry completely.

Storage: For ultimate protection from moths, place your qiviut in a ziplock bag and store in the freezer when not in use. You can also store qiviut in a cedar chest.

These single-layer gloves make a great liner glove, or can be worn on their own. They are knit in Texas and naturally dyed in Seattle! The Fenugreek gloves are made of 50% gently hand combed qiviut and 50% merino wool. The pair of gloves weighs between 1.8-2.1 oz, depending on the size.

Naturally dyed garments can be more prone to color bleeding and fading in the sun. There is also more variation of color between garments. Special care instructions will be included with your garment.

Medium:
Gloves have a 2.5 inches long cuff, measure approximately 7.5 inches from tip of middle finger to top of wrist and are 4 inches wide across the palm.
Large:
Gloves have a 2.5 inches long cuff, measure approximately 8 inches from tip of middle finger to top of wrist and are 4.5 inches wide across the palm.
