This ox-clusive tote celebrates the Musk Ox Farm’s annual Oxtoberfest with an original design created and hand-printed right here in Alaska by local artist, and Musk Ox Farm Interpretive Guide, Jessica Brevard.
The design features a wonderfully woolly musk ox enjoying the Oxtoberfest essentials: a pretzel and a frothy mug. Each design begins as an original drawing which is then transferred onto a block that is hand-carved by the artist and then used as a stamp. Because every print is made by hand, variations in color, texture, ink coverage, and alignment are part of the process. No two bags are exactly alike, making each one a genuinely one-of-a-kind piece of Oxtoberfest.
About the Artist: Handmade in Alaska by Jessica Brevard, a multidisciplinary artist from Palmer, Alaska who specializes in thrifting and upcycling many of her materials. Jessica is also an Interpretive Guide at the Musk Ox Farm and if you happen to meet her on a tour, ask her about her favorite musk ox, Fenugreek!
Details: 100% Cotton Tote bag that measures 14" H × 14.5"W x 3"D, featuring an original Oxtoberfest design hand-carved and hand-stamped using fabric block-printing ink. This is a collaboration with a local Alaskan artist, so once this herd of totes mooves out, they may be gone!
