Qiviut Care Instructions

Washing: Qiviut will not shrink in any water temperature, take care for blended garments. Hand wash your qiviut in warm water with a small amount of mild detergent or shampoo. Wash blended garments in lukewarm or cool water. Soak your garment without agitating and gently rinse. Lay your garment flat on a towel and roll up to remove excess water. Lay flat to dry completely.

Storage: For ultimate protection from moths, place your qiviut in a ziplock bag and store in the freezer when not in use. You can also store qiviut in a cedar chest.

These single-layer gloves make a great mitten liner, or can be worn on their own. They are hand-knit in Peru and made of 50% gently hand combed qiviut from our farm and 50% merino wool. The pair of gloves weighs approximately 1.8 ounces. Abby is modeling the small gloves, she usually wears a small in gloves and mittens.

Sizing:
Small:
Gloves will measure approximately 9.5 inches long (from base to tallest finger), 3.5 inches wide, with 3.5 inches long fingers/thumb.
Medium:
Gloves will measure approximately 10.25 inches long (from base to tallest finger), 4 inches wide, with 4.5 inches long fingers/thumb.

The workmanship is beautiful with the cable knit pattern featured on the gloves. These gloves will provide an ox-cellent addition to any cold weather outfit being both durable and warm!
