Wrist Warmers by Snowpurls

$120.00

Keep your hands warm without sacrificing dexterity with these one-of-a-kind wrist warmers! They are crafted from a two different yarns which are knitted together to create a thick comfortable fabric. The pink strands are a blend of 50% farm qiviut and 50% merino wool, for a unique softness and strength. The yarn used was hand-dyed by Fiber N Ice in Wasilla, Alaska (fibernicealaska.com) in the pink, red, and purple hues of the Matanuska flowers you may see here in the summer time. The second, finer and darker strands are a blend of 50% qiviut and 50% silk for a lovely and soft feel.

These gloves were hand-knit by a local Alaskan knitter named Erin Hodgson of Wasilla, Alaska, also known by her small business "Snowpurls." Erin's grandmother taught her to knit around 18 years ago, which sparked a life-long passion for the craft. Erin has developed a great appreciation for the musk ox as she works with qiviut, and has created some beautiful one-of-a-kind items for us, like these "Dreamin' of Spring Wrist Warmers" here!

These fingerless gloves are sized medium, measuring approximately 6" long with a 3.5" wide palm, but they definitely have some stretch to them to adjust to your hand.
