Musk ox mothers usually deliver a single calf in the spring after an eight-month gestation period. These newborn calves are initially quite small at 15 to 20 pounds. They are just a fraction of their mothers' weight, which typically ranges from 450 to 650 pounds!
Our fourth Egg Theme calf, Sunny, was born on Friday, May 24, 2024. She was born to first-time mother Osprey and proud father Larch.
