This 4.25" by 5.5" card features musk ox Olive eating her second breakfast of browse! Olive is working on her summer body with her meal plan of: Breakfast pellets, second breakfast of browse, lunch of dandelions, various other flowers, dinner grass, more grass, and dessert of fireweed. She hopes to be ready for winter at a nice modest weight of about 600lbs.
In the wild, musk oxen eat grass, browse (shrub and tree leaves), forbs (other plants that are not grass), and even flowers throughout summer. We offer birch browse to our herds for their enrichment, to give them more choice in their diet, and a tasty treat. Olive approves!
